Last month in Bangkok, AHW facilitated a workshop for 5 five countries in the region to develop a long-term national strategy framework for FMD control. This strategy framework is meant as a policy and advocacy paper to have FMD control put on the government agenda.

In particular the group sessions on stakeholder identification and consultation, on investment analysis and on problem/solution tree went very well.

This work is followed up in January and February 2018 by in-country workshops to finalize the National Strategy Framework and to work on the (medium-term) Risk-based Strategy Plan for FMD control.
